On the occasion of the SEC, the third quarterly meeting of the Center for Systems Engineering took place in Stuttgart this time. More than 20 members of the community found their way to the south of Germany for the meeting. There we discussed future challenges and legal requirements in the development of Digital Product Passports (DPP) for sustainable and circular product development, their integration into the organizational structure of companies and how MBSE can support the creation of product passports as a data basis.
We would like to thank everyone involved for the successful meeting. Special thanks also go to our guest speakers: Alain Dr. Biahmou, who was able to give us insights into the current status of software implementation at PTC for the creation of such a product passport and Nikolai D’Agostino, who shared with us insights from the work on the research project Battery Pass and presented approaches for the transfer of research results to other products. Both exciting keynote speeches provided valuable input for the subsequent discussions on the empowerment of the DPP through MBSE.
We are already looking forward to our next meeting in Aachen in November.
